Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Brokkestøylen — an exclusive destination where nature, tranquility, and quality are at the heart of every experience.

To ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay for all guests, we kindly ask you to review the following terms prior to booking.

By completing a reservation, you confirm that you have read and accepted these conditions.

1. Booking & Payment

A reservation is considered confirmed and binding when:

  • Full payment has been completed at the time of booking
  • The booking has been confirmed, either automatically or manually by Brokkestøylen

All reservations are treated as confirmed allocations of limited capacity.

2. Age Requirement & Stay

To preserve the atmosphere and concept of Brokkestøylen:

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Quiet hours: From 23:00 throughout the property
  • Pets: Not permitted, due to hygiene considerations and our cultivated edible gardens

Failure to comply with house rules may result in termination of the stay without refund.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Due to our limited capacity and carefully curated experiences, the following terms apply:

Individual bookings (up to 5 guests)

  • Full refund for cancellations up to 60 days prior to arrival
  • Cancellations after this period are charged 100% of the stay

Group bookings (6–10 guests)

  • Full refund for cancellations up to 90 days prior to arrival
  • Cancellations after this period are charged 100% of the stay

These terms apply to the full reservation, including:

  • Accommodation
  • Dining experiences
  • Activities such as Secret Dining

No-shows are non-refundable.

4. Changes to Bookings

Any changes to dates or stays are treated as new bookings and are subject to availability.

Existing cancellation terms will still apply.

5. Travel Insurance

Guests are responsible for holding valid travel insurance.

We strongly recommend coverage for:

  • Illness
  • Travel disruptions
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

This is particularly important due to our strict cancellation policy.

6. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather
  • Road closures
  • Power outages or technical issues

Brokkestøylen is not obligated to provide refunds or financial compensation.

However, we will always do our utmost to assist and find suitable solutions for our guests.

7. Liability

All stays are undertaken at the guest’s own risk.

Brokkestøylen cannot be held responsible for:

  • Personal injury
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings
  • Circumstances beyond our control

8. Acceptance of Terms

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.

Before Your Stay

We look forward to welcoming you to Brokkestøylen.

To ensure your stay is as seamless and enjoyable as possible, we recommend reviewing the following checklist prior to arrival.

1. What to Bring

  • Footwear: Suitable for nature and uneven terrain
    (Indoor slippers and rubber boots are available on-site)
  • Clothing: Mountain weather can change quickly — bring warm layers, even in summer
  • Swimwear: Recommended for use of our facilities

2. House Guidelines

  • Pets: Not permitted
  • Atmosphere: We value a calm and peaceful environment
  • Quiet hours: From 23:00
  • Minimum age: 20 years

3. Food & Allergies

Our dining experiences are carefully planned.

If you have allergies or dietary requirements not already communicated, please inform us no later than 7 days prior to arrival so we can accommodate you accordingly.

4. Travel & Insurance

  • Road conditions: In case of severe weather, please check updates from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration
  • Travel insurance: Ensure your policy is valid prior to departure

5. Arrival

  • Check-in: From 15:00
  • Access: Drive to the gate upon arrival and park nearby
  • Gate code: You will receive access details via SMS prior to arrival
