Now is the season for our aromatic wild rose vinegar!
We like to make food/products from wild ingredients, which many see as weeds. Many "hate" both goat's rue and wild roses. The latter are now banned in Norway and are plants we cannot get rid of. Instead of fighting against them, we make exclusive, unfiltered and aromatic vinegars from the plants. Our Wild Rose Vinegar is fermented and made from hand-picked petals/flowers in Southern Norway and is made here in Setesdal where we are located.
The uses are many: cold salads, shellfish and especially oysters, desserts such as dark chocolate. Brown sauces if you want a little extra "sting". Grilled sandwiches with tomatoes and white goat cheese also with blue cheeses are delicious. We also serve it as one of our non-alcoholic signature drinks with carbonated water. It is also delicious and different in various alcoholic drinks as a drink mix. Only your imagination stops you here for the different uses! Here you just have to experiment.
If you want it as a drink, we like to mix it as follows: 4 cl rose vinegar with 6-10 cl carbonated water depending on how strong you want it. Bon Appetit!
The bottle is made of frosted glass with a wooden cork and has a beautiful red color. When empty, the bottle can be reused for "everything". A very nice alternative for a hostess gift or if you want something special for yourself. If you are a restaurant, please contact us!
Turn before use. Store in the refrigerator after opening. Should avoid light/sunlight. As it is unfiltered it may fade over time. Shelf life 12 months. Net content 120ml.
