By popular demand, the new season opens with an expanded menu — now six courses, up from four. Wine is served by the bottle, or, for parties of six or more, our wine pairing programme is available, with or without alcohol, matched to each course.

The Hidden Gem of Setesdal — A Tribute to the Untouched. A Celebration of the Moment.

As darkness settles over the mountainside, we open the doors to one of Norway's most exclusive culinary destinations. Secret Dining at Brokkestøylen is more than a six-course meal; it is a curated journey through Setesdal in season, served to no more than ten guests at a time.

An Overture of Distinction

The evening opens with precision and character. We serve our award-winning Highland Gin — SKOG (Silver, London Spirits Competition 2025, 92 points), accompanied by our own wild fireweed vinegar — crowned winner at Det Norske Måltid, Organic Refinement 2025, and holder of the Specialty/Unique Taste distinction from Matmerk, scoring 93 points at the London Spirits Competition. This is the taste of the forest, fermented and distilled by hand to perfection.

The Kitchen Goddess's Manifesto

Behind closed doors, our chef and "Kitchen Goddess" compose a six-course surprise menu built on an uncompromising farm-to-table philosophy. There are no fixed menus here — only dishes shaped by the natural rhythm of the ingredients:

Harvested: From our own garden, the deep forests, and our neighbours
Refined: With traditional technique and modern elegance
Presented: As an intimate dialogue between nature, culture, and comfort

Practical Information

For guests seeking the authentic, we offer a relaxed, convivial evening defined by understated luxury and culinary focus.

Time: Aperitif promptly at 7:00 PM. The experience concludes at 10:30 PM.
Capacity: Maximum 8 seats per evening.
Dress code: Smart casual.
Drinks: A carefully selected beverage pairing for the culinary journey, with or without alcohol, NOK 1,450 and NOK 950 (our alcohol-free, handcrafted shrubs). A curated wine list is also available upon request.
Beverage selection to be arranged in advance.

Completing the Journey: Eco-Luxury

Extend the experience with an overnight stay in one of our eco-luxury domes. We also offer Private Dining for closed parties (8–10 guests) seeking full discretion.

Reservations Secret Dining can be booked in advance, subject to availability, up to 14 days prior to arrival. Please advise us of any allergies or preferences at the time of booking.
